Is water that you drink safe?
A recent study reveals that about one-third of U.S. homes may have 💧 tap water containing a newly identified 🧪 chemical called chloronitramide anion. This substance is a byproduct of treating water with chloramine, which is commonly used to kill harmful 🦠 bacteria and viruses.
This chemical is likely present in drinking water across the country. Approximately 113 million Americans receive chloramine-treated water, which has been favored over chlorine due to lower levels of certain harmful byproducts.
While the study authors emphasize that more 👨🔬 research is needed to assess the safety of this compound, they stress the importance of monitoring its presence in drinking water systems.

167K+ pounds of ground beef recalled (E. coli)
Wolverine Packing Co. has recalled about 167,000 pounds of 🥩 ground beef due to possible E. coli contamination. This recall follows reports of 15 illnesses linked to the same strain of E. coli that was previously associated with 🧅 onions in McDonald’s Quarter Pounders.
The contaminated beef was distributed to restaurants across the country, raising concerns that some products may still be in freezers or refrigerators.
The recalled products include both fresh and frozen beef, with "use by" dates of November 14 and October 22, respectively. Consumers are advised:
⚠ not to eat these products
🥘 to cook any raw beef to an internal temperature of 🌡️ 160°F to kill harmful bacteria.
🚨 Symptoms of E. coli infection can include severe stomach cramps and diarrhea, and those experiencing these symptoms should seek medical attention immediately.

Bitcoin is almost $99,000
💰 Bitcoin has reached a new record, crossing the $99K mark for the first time early Friday. The entire cryptocurrency market is thriving, with a total value of 💸 $3.4 trillion, which is more than France's GDP 🤯.
Several factors are driving this surge, including:
the launch of Bitcoin ETFs (especially, BlackRock’s ETF)
reports of a dedicated crypto policy role in the upcoming administration
potential acquisition of Bakkt by Trump’s media group
Other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Solana have also seen significant 📈 gains, with Ethereum up 9% and Solana rising 11.4%. Analysts suggest that if Bitcoin breaks the $99,950 resistance level, it could soon surpass $100,000.
