Amazon workers strike
Amazon workers from over 20 countries are planning strikes and protests during the busy shopping weekend from Black Friday to Cyber Monday. This action is organized by UNI Global Union and Progressive International to raise awareness about what they call Amazon's "anti-worker practices".
📢 Workers in cities like New York, Germany, and Japan will demand better pay, working conditions, and the right to unionize. This marks the 5th year of the "Make Amazon Pay" campaign, which aims to hold the company accountable for labor abuses and environmental issues.
Activists believe that 🤑 Amazon's focus on profit comes at a cost to its workers. While Amazon claims it offers competitive pay and benefits, many employees feel their rights are being ignored. The protests could impact holiday deliveries, but it's unclear how many workers will actually join in.

3 dead in Cybertruck crash
💥 A tragic crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck in Piedmont, California, resulted in the deaths of 3 people and left 1 seriously injured. The accident occurred just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday when the vehicle hit a tree and caught fire.
👮♂️ Police were alerted by an iPhone notification and a 911 call from a nearby motorist. Despite attempts by officers to extinguish the 🔥 flames, the fire was too intense, and the Piedmont Fire Department had to respond to put it out.
Authorities believe speed was a factor in the crash and they are pretty sure that there’s no indication that there were mechanical effects that were the primary cause for the collision and it “looked like a typical car fire“
📣 The Cybertruck, which has been on sale for about a year, has been recalled 6 times for safety problems, most recently on Nov. 5 because a fault in an electric inverter can cause the drive wheels to lose power.

Google being attacked, this time by Canada
⚖ Canada's Competition Bureau is suing Google for unfair practices in online advertising. The Bureau claims that Google has linked its advertising tools in a way that keeps its dominant position in the market, which is not allowed under Canadian law. They want Google to sell two of its services: DoubleClick for Publishers and AdX.
📊 According to the Bureau, Google controls about 90% of the market for publisher ad servers and has made it hard for other companies to compete. This situation has led to higher advertising costs and less money for publishers. Google argues that there is strong competition in the advertising market and plans to defend itself in court.

🧠 Neuroscientists at the Salk Institute have discovered a brain circuit that controls breathing and can quickly reduce anxiety, as detailed in a recent study published in Nature Neuroscience. This finding could lead to the development of a "yoga pill" that helps the over 40 million adults in the US with anxiety disorders. Unlike current medications that affect multiple brain areas and may cause side effects, this new approach would target specific brain circuits, making it potentially more effective and safer.
